This weekend the Vietnamese cultural event Giỗ Tổ Hùng Vương (Ancestors celebration) was held. My friends and I have been planning this for months, and suddenly the big day approached. We went to the location the night before to get some things ready. I think Friday night to Saturday night felt like one long day for us all! I haven't been so stressed in such a long timespan. I felt like I had been turning somersaults the whole day ヾ(。 ̄□ ̄)ツ
Anyway, as mentioned earlier, my primary responsibility was the Fashion show. Planning when all the girls should meet for rehearsal, makeup and hair was a big stress for me. Even though I did half of the girls' makeup around noon and the latter in the evening, it was super stressful and my back hurt like crazy since I have to stand up and do the makeup. I love doing makeup. But doing it on 10 girls+ is something whole different!!
This is all the models! I designed all the dresses, made the hair accessories and makeup. We have a seamstress who is specialized in sewing aó dài (Vietnamese tradiotional dress), who has helped us every year. The fabric for the dresses is bought in Vietnam.
Sadly I have none real close-up of the girls' makeup, as I was too busy actually doing the makeup!
I took some portraits of all the girls though. You can see them all on my facebook
Other pictures from the event and the actual fashion show can be seen on our facebook page: DTTN Lac Hong.
I stole this pic from one of the girls~
Anyway, the evening went by pretty well. I was stuck in makeup and hair most of the evening though lol, but that's just how it is.
Hope you liked! 。◕‿◕。
