Colorful Powder

こんこん ・ Hello~ ♥

Just a little update to show you some of makeup-things I've done... Over the summer I had a little 'butterfly-crush' and I still intend to do more ヾ(´・ω・`)
This is where my real interest in makeup began I think. I've always liked to play around with makeup, but when I found these lashes in a theater-store - I totally fell in love and wanted to do something with it ô.ô But well, I didn't have that much experience..☆⌒(>。≪) however I still like the picture..!
This one is from the Sakura Festival 2010.. I touched up the makeup a bit when I came home, but I was so tired so no 'good' pictures :/ I guess it's inspired by Michelle Phan's Geisha-look since it was only short after I found her on youtube that I did this ( ̄▽ ̄)ノ
This is my friend 'Mew Mew' - we like purple ♥ I used a little purple makeup palette I bought in Japan, and she had this fantastic dress from Vietnam in the perfect color so... Taa-daa! ^^
The nymph Jenny ♥ (or so we labeled her in this pic) I tried some green-smokey-eye thing.. :3
Mari-chan ♥ I didn't have my palette either at that time - but she just got an "eye-pad" with cute colors..
The first butterfly I made was to try out my new makeup pallette. I used my scarf which has a butterfly on it for the shape-reference XD  The second one was for Zuum and my 'oiran' cosplay at Genki 2010. I thought I'd used red for the butterfly, since the color is used for oiran and geishas' makeup.
Ok - that was it for now. I'm hoping to widen my 'portfolio' - there will definitely come more in the future ^^ I still have some new stuff I haven't uploaded, but I hope you enjoyed ♥

Thanks for looking! じゃーね♥ (^ _ ^)/

  4. The 'braids' on the side is cornrows. Sadly I can't make them myself, they were made by an african lady and they will last for 2 weeks or so.

The thing I made with my blond hairstyle is really easy to make yourself! You part your hair in a 'row' so you get the sidecut-ish look, add some hairspray to keep it in order, and then just twist the stripe of hair and pin it back. And repeat the process until you have as many of the twisted rows/stripes as you want ^^ I hope that helped!
